The Haunted House Grand Finale. Chapter 2 & 3

Chapter 2

“Declan,” I yelled, “we better go and check out that old and abandoned house that’s down the street, it might be where Vipor is hiding!”

We all went down the street to what seemed like a house where Vipor would like to hide. We all decided to go into the house and see what was inside. We went inside and I saw a mysterious looking shape that seemed to be glowing and it was on the staircase leading to the second floor. I said to everyone that we should check it out. When we got up to where the shape was, it suddenly disappeared. Everything was quite strange about this house. Including the way it was built, what was inside it and so on. It just seemed like that to me.

Later on, after we had checked out a few rooms and had found nothing strange, we decided to check the basement. We went through the creaky old door and we went through the narrow staircase which was made up of rotten and ragged old planks and which seemed to be poking out at me to the basement. The basement had a musty smell and the air was clogged with tons of dust. It was so hard to breathe that I was basically choking on the dust.

We started looking through some old chests and drawers which were probably over a hundred years old. Spider webs were all around the basement, even inside those drawers and chests. Eventually someone ran into quite a large spider and started squealing about. It was Katelyn, who was a twin sister of Declan. She hated bugs a lot. “Eeeeeeeeek,” Katelyn squealed as she was desperately trying to knock the large spider which was on her t-shirt off, “someone get this stupid spider off me!”

Katelyn managed to get the spider off her t-shirt and everyone went back to looking through the chests and drawers again. It was quite a while when Jackie Caldwell found a key of some sort and she told everyone. “Guys,” Jackie yelled excitedly as she showed the key to everyone, “Look at what I found. It’s a key which probably unlocks something in this house. We better go find out what this key unlocks!”

The key was pretty old and was made of iron and copper which had turned partially green over a long period of time. The key seemed over a hundred years old. Everyone decided to go to the attic so we all went to the attic and opened the door to see what was inside. The door seemed older than the basement’s door and it was very pale and rotten. It creaked so loudly that the sound echoed downstairs. We all went up the ladder one by one until everyone had reached the top of the ladder and into the attic. Suddenly, the door slammed shut and the door couldn’t be opened….

Chapter 3

“Help,” everyone screamed, desperately banging on the door and trying to open the door, “somebody please help us!”

Just then, the door swung open and the lights flickered on. Everyone calmed down and decided to sit down on a chair and then all pitched in to help find the chest that the key unlocks. This calm moment only lasted a few minutes and then something even worse happened. All the lights went out, the door slammed shut, there seemed to be fire in the room and then what looked like a tornado sprung up out of nowhere. This was crazy!

“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh,” everyone screamed at the top of their lungs, as they were all running around in all directions filled with panic, “let us out!”

It was absolute chaos, as a tornado was chasing some people around and fire was hovering above the ground. This house was haunted and very badly. “Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh,” Jackie Caldwell and Annie screamed, “the giant tornado is chasing me, someone help!”

It was no use, this chaos seemed impossible to stop. Then, a howling sound came into the room and lightning and thunder were flashing everywhere. More screams rose from this and more people were running around. We had to get to the bottom of this mysterious haunting and we all needed to help each other, we couldn’t just let this poltergeist rule and haunt our neighbourhood forever, we had to save it.

Suddenly, the poltergeist stopped and all the lights came back on and the door also opened. Everyone finally calmed down and because they were so tired, they all fell down on the floor and so did I, since I was sick of all this chaos.

To be continued........
